This is my first attempt at a photoblog. I have been doing self-taught photography for most of my life. I hope you like this effort. Please click on the photos for enlargements.

How times have changed

Someone sent this to me recently and it made me very sad. I started in 1974 and was making $3.75 an hour or$7800 a year.
How I longed to have an extra $2786 a year. I could'a bought a brand new car!

These kinds of thing always settle uncomfortably in my heart. I think about what kind of money my dad made and what my parents paid for their house in 1950. Wouldn't even buy a nice car these days. When I was 16 and started driving gas was like 75 cents a gallon. Thanks Steve for making me feel like an old geezer....

    Just doing my job, Ma'am.
One of my co-workers pulled into the parking lot with his new pickup truck the other day and he paid several thousand more for it that I paid for my first house. I'm just glad that I'm still not making $3.75 and hour if trucks are now that expensive.
Thanks for the info on that photo blog. I would love to vist there some day.
