Actually, if you look close enough, those are douglas fir trees. The large Canadian beavers just eat all the leaves off except for the top parts. The wave is from a nor'easter on Lake Ontario.

Wow Anonymous, You Canadians are tough hombres -- body surfing in Lake Ontario during a nor'easter. In Texas we stay inside under a blanket if it's under 50 degrees.

Heck, when the temperature drosp another cople of degrees, we simply change from surfing to ice fishing!
Did anyone else notice the triangluar-looking thing in the bottom left of the photo? Tha's just a rock, right?

It's an ice berg or the dorsal fin of the Loch Ness Canadian shark.
