This is my first attempt at a photoblog. I have been doing self-taught photography for most of my life. I hope you like this effort. Please click on the photos for enlargements.

Guest photographer - Carol

Our entire family loves photography. My wife took this photo of our granddaughter Emma in the pool this summer. She calls this "Blue eyes".

Tender moment

This is my oldest daughter and my first grandchild on the day that she brought him home. It is several years old and yet it remains one of my most cherished photographs.
This photograph is several years old. I took it originally as a transparency, then took a 35mm film shot from the screen, then scanned it digitally. After what its been through, I still like it.

Guest photographer - Tracy

This is one of my favourite photos of one of my favourite people. My "bestest buddy" Jacob.
If you can look at this photo and not smile, I think you need professional help.

Jellyfish disco

Even jellyfish deserve to have fun and these guys are getting down and getting funky under the blacklight at the Wakiki aquarium.

Christmas Eve from my front yard

This was the scene from my front room window on Christmas Eve. I have no idea where the carollers were.

New York, New York

This photo was taken from the airplane as we departed Newark, NJ. Ellis Island is at the lower right of the photo. Astounding to see a city this big. It just went on and on and on...
No wonder they had to name it twice.

Girl on the beach

As I was preparing to take a nice scenic photo, this girl walked into the shot. She was unaware of my prescence and was focused only on the water and the rocks.
She was so light afoot, I thought she was capable of floating for a second. She stayed there for only a brief time swaying to the rhythm of the water. I was so entranced that I almost (but not quite) forgot to click the shutter.
