a man, a plan, a canal, panama

This may take some explaining. We entered the Panama Canal from the Pacific side at sunrise. Because the ithmus of Panama is so narrow and in the shape of the letter "S" plus the fact that we turned west to actually enter the locks, the photograph is a sunrise coming up behind us. With the impression that sun actually rose in the West.
Absolutley true story.

Plus - I love the palindrome in the title.
